Uses: 
Whole pumpkin keeps reasonably well even in humid tropics. The flesh is cooked in a variety of ways, in soups, curries and in coconut milk. It is not only treated as a vegetable but also in desserts – steamed with a rich coconut custard filling; or simmered with coconut milk and sugar. The tips of the pumpkin vine are edible as a vegetable. The seeds can be dried and eaten as a nutritious snack. 

Storing:
Pumpkins and winter Squashes are hard-skinned and keep for months.  They should be firm and smooth.
