Winged (4 Angled) Bean |
The frilly edge along the 4 sides gives the vegetable the name. In
some area, it is also know as Goa Bean. Health
benefits: It is highly nutritious, containing both protein and oil. |
Uses: Winged Beans can be treated like French Beans. They can be eaten raw or blanched and are commonly mixed for vegetable salad. The pretty white or pale blue flower, young shoots and tuberous roots are all edible. If available add the flowers to your salad for that added colour. |
